The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Foundation offers two scholarships to recognize outstanding promise in the field of broadcasting.

The MBJF Diversity Scholarship is intended to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in newsrooms across the Midwest by providing support to journalism students of diverse backgrounds, historically underrepresented in the field.

The Jack Shelley Scholarship is intended to recognize and support students who demonstrate effort and enthusiasm to build a career in broadcast journalism.

Each scholarship is a $1500 award, presented at the Midwest Journalism conference. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is March 1, 2025. Learn more here.
